Clarion Associates is a land-use consulting firm that specializes in planning and plan implementation. We work with communities of all sizes around the country to develop thoughtful, innovative community plans and land-use regulations. Our multi-disciplinary team, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Denver, Colorado, includes planners, attorneys, and designers. We leverage our team’s diversity and capitalize on our individual strengths, providing superior planning products and experience to our public-sector clients.

Clarion professionals have experience in all aspects of drafting effective plans and codes. The planning side of our work focuses on neighborhood, area-specific, and regional plans, as well as full plan updates. The code side of our work includes code assessments, targeted code updates, and full code rewrites. We also have experience with specialized topics including historic preservation, design standards, sustainability, impact fees, and growth management.

We are proud to partner with a strong nationwide network of Clarion affiliates that includes Clarion/Samuels Associates in Philadelphia and McBride Dale Clarion in Cincinnati.
