Catherine Hartley is an award-winning planner who possesses an uncommon depth and breadth of experience. With 22 years in both public and private sector planning, she has focused her energy on integrating transportation, land use, and site planning, and on making traditional, walkable places legal in comprehensive plans and zoning codes. As the Planning and Community Development Director in Bradenton, Florida, she worked to reduce barriers to building affordable and missing middle housing. Since moving into the private sector in 2020, she has served as a project manager with public-sector clients on numerous projects, including a Coastal Area Action Plan, a Housing Action Plan, and Code and Comprehensive (General) Plan Updates/Amendments.
